This Saturday we got to shoot a wedding that I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time. If you follow me on Twitter, you’d know that even before we got to Kristy and Jason’s wedding location, a beautiful, rustic barn, I knew that we were going to get some fabulous pictures. All week I’d been sending emails back and forth with Kristy, and I couldn’t help but tell her how excited I was.
The one thing I didn’t realize going into their Day was the love and support they had from their families moving forward together. There were really sweet moments that couldn’t have happened if that wasn’t the case – my personal fave was, her sister and Maid of Honor, Allison’s speech from a children’s book about two dinosaurs in love [she’s an elementary school teacher which makes it all the more relative and genuine]. Or even their family’s endurance to dance the whole night through – I’ll have to admit, I was a tad jealous I couldn’t jump in.
And I guess that’s what made this day more than just ordinary [although, I’d argue the sun flare in these pictures added a couple teaspoons of awesomeness]. Friends and family were there [from as far as China!] to celebrate and share their warm wishes for the newest couple on the Healy-Kearney family tree. And no one was afraid to get down and party.
Thank you all for an unforgettable evening.
