Last week was odd. I’d been in a bit of a funk, and started to realize the new responsibilities that go along with being your own boss. I heard it said, during a Lion’s Guild [a motivational, proactive group for entrepeneurs that helps them build a successful business long-term] meeting last Wednesday, that without a plan by Sunday night, you wake up on Monday morning unemployed.
That’s not all I learned. Becky and Beverly also shared that “70% of all top performers are up, have worked out [with intense cardio] and have finished some form of meditation and intense affirmations [includes prayer and/or quiet time] by 7 a.m.” Holy Cow. Did you just read that?! 7 a.m.! I’m embarrassed to share what time I’d been waking up last week, but a lot of it had to do with staying up too late and not being productive with my days. When they start at noon, and Mike is home by 6, it’s hard to feel accomplished or tired by a typical bedtime. Needless to say, the results of such a week are nothing short of weak sauce.
So starting this week, with your accountability, prayers, and encouragement, I hope things are going to prove to be different. Here are some of my goals from Week 1 –
- Waking up early a.m. [time TBD] to have worked out and have had my quiet time by 8 a.m.
- Eat healthier. Look up recipes ahead of time and do better at meal planning.
- Schedule my days. Block out time. Protect and guard my daily priorities.
Hope to see you at the gym at 5:30 a.m. tomorrow morning. Have a great Monday!
